Seasonal Demand for Urgent Appointments

We have made extra appointments available to assist with the seasonal demand. This is on top of our usual appointments and the daily sit and wait surgeries. These appointments will be available to book via the online system, by phone or in person.

Measles Alert

If you think you have measles please call ahead for advice first. If you have symptoms such as high fever, rash- sometimes around the ears, sore red eyes, cough, aching and feeling unwell it could be Measles and you will need to be placed in an area where an infection cannot be passed onto vulnerable patients. Please do not come to the surgery without phoning first.

Medication Review

ALL patients require a medication review at least once every year. We are unable to issue your repeat medication if you haven't had this. Please ensure you book your review at least one month prior to your due date. Your doctor will wish to review your treatment periodically and ask you to attend the surgery when this is necessary. A message: 'Review is due on...................', together with the date, is shown on the right hand side of your prescription, underneath your list of medications to remind you to make this appointment with your doctor or practice nurse.

Collection of Prescriptions by a Third Party

Please provide a letter of authority if you are unable to collect your own prescription and wish it to be collected by a third party.

Repeat Prescriptions

The Mid-Essex Clinical Commissioning Group have asked GPs to reduce their prescribing of the common medications in the following list. These are available over the counter from your pharmacy. To see list please click here

green_pill_spillWe require a minimum of two full working days to process repeat prescriptions. Please remember to make allowances for weekends and public holidays. Repeat prescriptions for regular medication must be requested in writing, preferably by using the tear-off slip attached to the computer-prepared prescription. Please mark clearly with a tick against each item required.

You can post in your repeat prescription request to us, and if you enclose an SAE we will return it to you once prepared. You can also order directly by completing the form below, but you must register for this. Our receptionists can advise.

If you want to drop off a prescription after the surgery has closed - please post the presciption request in an envelope under either the front or back door of the surgery. It will be collected and processsed by the prescription team.
