Practice Nurse Team

The practice nurse team offers a comprehensive range of nurse-led chronic disease management clinics. These include asthma, diabetes, coronary heart disease and hypertension. Appointments for these clinics range through the full working day of the surgery in order to accommodate both working and non-working patients.

Other nurse-led specialist services include baby/child immunisations, women's health, wound assessment, and there are general nursing clinics every day for routine appointments such as dressings, cervical smears, ear syringing and routine immunisations. There is also a minor ailments clinic on Friday mornings. Please ask at reception for details.

Training Practice

The surgery has been a training practice for many years.

Our registrars work full time in the practice for a period of six to twelve months. These are fully qualified doctors who have chosen general practice as the career they wish to pursue and who will gain general practice experience by being based within the surgery. At all times, they provide care of the same standard as that provided by the other doctors - please accept them as a valued addition to the team.
